Cicely Taylor believes
that the best way to see a country is on foot and that the
only real travellers left nowadays are those who walk! She
has researched and led walks professionally in France, Italy,
Cyprus, Jordan, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey
and has also walked most of the long-distance paths in Britain.
In summer 2007 Cicely celebrated 25 years of organising
walks for groups of friends. She has accompanied our walking
tours since they were introduced in 1994, occasionally with
her husband Max, a writer, painter and classical scholar,
and has a strong following among members of The Art Fund.
