Alison McQuitty read Archaeology
at Durham and has an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from the
School of Oriental and African Studies, London University.
She lived in Jordan for many years and has travelled widely
in the Middle East. She was Director of the Council for
British Research in the Levant in Amman (formerly the British
Institute of Archaeology) until 1999. She has arranged several
walks in Jordan although she now lives and works in the
UK.
