Our Lecturers & Tour Leaders
James McDonaugh is a freelance
art history lecturer, with a particular interest in Italy.
He has recently accompanied tours to Venice, Florence, Siena,
Mantua, Rome and Naples as well as to Sicily and its surrounding
islands. He also lectures in London, Paris and Istanbul.
Combining a deep knowledge of art with literature, history
and theology, his aim is ‘to bring some of the most
beautiful objects and places of historical interest in Europe
to life’. James has an MA in Philosophy and Theology
from Oxford as well as a diploma in Art History and an MA
in Architectural History from the Courtauld Institute.
