Our Lecturers & Tour Leaders
Juliet Barclay, a one time
Assistant to the Director of the Art Fund, worked for many
years in the Office of the City Historian of Havana, the
organization responsible for the city’s restoration,
as Head of Design for the Directorate of Cultural Heritage.
She still provides the City Historian with help and support
on specific projects. Her articles on Cuban culture, the
social and architectural history of Havana and the restoration
of the city’s historical centre have appeared in publications
all over the world. Her book ‘Havana, Portrait of
a City’ has been reprinted four times while ‘Miri
and the Magic Door’, an adventure set in Old Havana,
has just been published by Macmillan Caribbean.
