About Us
 Specialtours
Limited was founded by Doreen McLaren, Diana Skene, John
Winser and Hazel Wood and has remained a privately-owned
company, based in central London. As the name suggests,
we are a specialist company, offering tailor-made itineraries
with exclusive private visits. Since 1990 our principal
client in the UK has been The National Art Collections Fund,
now The Art Fund.
We have created itineraries and made land arrangements
for many prestigious International museum groups and societies.
This has enabled us to remain unique and independent as
well as widening our network of contacts in Europe and the
United States.
Specialtours has always provided a personal service, with
a small team working to the highest standards. Between us
we cover the major European languages.
These tours are organised by Susie Orso, Frances Roxburgh,
Nicola Howard, Harriet Landseer and Antonia Lloyd Owen.
Susie Orso lives in Florence and arranges many of our tours
in Italy, while Harriet Landseer is based in Prague and
concentrates mainly on central Europe. Each tour organiser
is responsible for all details from the initial concept
and research, to making all the arrangements and, finally,
to accompanying the tour to ensure that everything runs
smoothly.
David Robertson, the Company Secretary, is responsible
for administration and finance. Bridget Bell is involved
principally with client liaison and bookings and also works
with the tour organisers.
The Directors of the Company are Susie Orso and Frances
